Yixing 一行 (683-727) [I-Hsing]

Astronomer from India who came to China in the Tang dynasty. He did much of his work in astronomy and horology at the Jixian yuan 集賢院 (College of All Sages) at the Tang capital of Chang'an, which was set up in about 725.
